Should we need to introduce the restaurant Amadeus, one of the very few restaurants in Portugal to have been awarded a rosette by the Guide Michelin? Austrian chef Siegfried Danler-Heinemann, previously of the famous restaurant Le Canard in Hamburg, specialises in a simplified approach to modern European gourmet cuisine using the freshest seasonal ingredients and avoiding extravagant presentation. With carefully selected wines to match the menu, and a very sympathetic price, we are in for a very special evening.

Considered as one of the best restaurants in the Algarve, this roadside “tasca” is also one of the best kept secrets. The restaurant has been awarded the 1st price at the 2nd Albufeira Gastronomic Festival and the award for the best National Wine Cellar in 2006. The owner, Manuel Janeiro, has gathered in his cellar over 1,000 labels of the best Portuguese, Spanish and Italian wines.
